Alex is an English as a Second Language professor at Austin Community College, Austin, TX, and a visiting professor at international universities who has been teaching English pronunciation for over twenty years. He is the founder of AMERICAN ACCENT PROGRAM, LLC, helping foreign-born corporate professionals working in the U.S. and actors for whom clear and accurate communication & pronunciation in English is a must. He speaks two languages and currently learning Italian. He works as an interpreter and translator in his spare time.

His twenty years of teaching experience have led him to create a unique 2D Sound Motion Technology that uses visual and auditory feedback to help ESL students understand how to pronounce American sounds correctly. It is an excellent and very effective educational approach to teaching his students.
He has conducted pronunciation workshops and group training for numerous corporations and has taught American accent (accent reduction) all over the U.S. and internationally. Hi prof. Alex, I am sending this message just to THANK YOU. I recently found that my listening has improved so much that I can watch a movie without subtitles, yet still understand most of it! This is exiting because I very much enjoy going to the cinema. I wasn’t able to do it ever since I came to the 🇺🇸 – cinemas here do not provide subtitles 😞. Now the cinemas are reopening and my listening has improved just in time for me to enjoy the movies in the cinema. Though this is not the purpose of our class, it is indeed the best side effect ❤️
